Privacy Policy

Ceres helps families organize shared calendars, tasks, milestones, and reminders. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. We aim to collect as little as possible.

What we collect

Account data: your name, email address, and avatar preference.
Family content you create: events, tasks, lists, milestones, notes, and reminders, scoped to the families you belong to.
Technical data: standard logs and device/push tokens needed to deliver notifications.
Cycle & fertility data (optional): if you use cycle tracking, we collect the observations you enter — such as temperature, bleeding, mucus observations, notes, and intercourse records. See “Cycle & fertility data” below for how it is stored and who can see it.

How we use it

To provide and secure the service: to show your family’s shared information to the right people, send the reminders you ask for, and keep accounts safe. We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use your content to train AI models.

AI-assisted features

Some optional features use AI to help you. When you paste or type text into quick-add to create an event or task, that text is sent to our AI provider (Anthropic) to extract details such as the title, date, and time. It is processed only to return that result — it is not used to train models and is not retained by the provider for that purpose. If you prefer not to use this, you can enter events and tasks manually. Cycle and fertility data is never sent to any AI provider.

Multi-tenant isolation

Family data is isolated per family using database row-level security. Members can only access families they belong to. We never expose one family’s data to another.

Sub-processors

Supabase — database, authentication, and storage.
Vercel — application hosting.
Anthropic — AI processing for the optional quick-add feature (see “AI-assisted features”). Only the text you submit to quick-add is sent.

Cycle & fertility data

Cycle tracking is a limited beta and is not generally available. It is switched on for individual households by us, one at a time, and is off for every other account — if it has not been enabled for your family, the feature does not appear and none of this data is collected. Where it is enabled, it is optional and turned on per person. We treat it as sensitive data and give it stricter handling than the rest of the app:

Where it is stored: on your own device, in your browser or app storage. There is no paid plan today, so in practice this is where cycle data stays. It is uploaded to our servers only if you explicitly choose to upload it, or if server-side storage is later offered and you opt into it.
Who can see it: only you, unless you share it yourself as described below. It is not visible to other members of your family — including administrators — and where it is stored on our servers, our access controls enforce this at the database level.
Sharing with a partner: you may choose to share your record with another adult in your family, as a view-only or view-and-record grant. Only you can create that grant, from your own settings, and you can withdraw it at any time without their approval. Sharing includes your full history, including intercourse records.
Backups and deletion: you can export an encrypted backup at any time, and you can delete your cycle data yourself. Deleting it removes it from our servers.
Never used for AI or advertising: this data is never sent to an AI provider and is never used for advertising.

Your rights

Subject to applicable law (including the EU GDPR), you may request access to, correction of, export of, or deletion of your personal data, and you may withdraw consent at any time. To exercise these rights, contact us at the address below. You can also delete your account from Settings, which removes your profile and personal data.

Data retention

We keep your data while your account is active. When you delete your account, we delete your personal data and remove you from your families; shared content you created may be retained by the family unless you request its removal.

Children

Ceres supports family members of different ages, including children, added and managed by a family administrator. Accounts are intended to be created by adults responsible for their household.
