Support

Ceres is made by one person. Write to me and you get me, not a ticket queue.

Email support@ceresfamily.app. I read everything and normally reply within two working days. If something is broken and your family is stuck, say so in the subject line and I will look at it first.

Getting your family in

Invite people from Family on the phone, or Settings › Family on the web. You choose their role as you invite them, and you can change it afterwards.

  • Parent — adds and edits events, assigns tasks, manages lists.
  • Dependent — sees the family schedule and their own tasks.
  • Guest — a grandparent or nanny helping for a while. Limited, and easy to remove.

If the invitation email does not arrive, check the spam folder first. The invitation exists either way — you can copy its link from Family and send it yourself.

Seeing Ceres in the calendar app you already use

Open Settings › Calendar feed and tap Subscribe. Your family calendar then appears in Apple Calendar or Google Calendar. The link is private to you, and you can replace it at any time from the same screen, which immediately stops the old one working.

The feed is one-way: events flow from Ceres into your calendar app, and changes you make over there do not come back.

Notifications

Settings › Notifications controls each kind separately — reminders, tasks assigned to you, schedule changes, upcoming milestones, and the morning brief. Turning one off stops it being created at all, so it does not quietly pile up somewhere you are not looking.

If you get nothing at all on your phone, check that iOS itself still allows notifications for Ceres in the Settings app.

Your data

Settings › Your data has both:

  • Export my data downloads everything you have put into Ceres as a JSON file.
  • Delete account removes your account and its data. It asks you to type DELETE first, because it cannot be undone.

What each of these covers, and who can see what, is set out in the privacy policy.

Reporting a problem

Four things make a bug report easy to act on, and most of them take a second:

  • What you expected to happen, and what happened instead.
  • Which screen you were on.
  • iPhone or web — and if the phone, whether the other one behaves the same.
  • A screenshot, if there was something to see.

Feature requests are welcome at the same address. Ceres is early, and what gets built next is mostly decided by what families actually ask for.

Early access

Ceres is free while it is in early access, and there is no billing in the app — nothing asks for a card, and nothing can charge you. If that changes, it will be announced well before it happens, never applied quietly to an account that already exists.
